Born and raised in Israel, Efrat Levy began her dance career at the age of 6. She joined a youth dance group and created her own works during her high school education in addition to participating in many workshops with some of Israels leading choreographers and dancers. In 2003, she received two scholarships for dance and choreography from the America Israel cultural foundation. In 2004 she came to Holland to study in Codarts, Rotterdams Dance Academy from which she received a Bachelor of the Arts degree in dance in 2008. During her studies, Efrat worked with several choreographers, dancers and teachers such as: Michael Schumacher, Andrea Boll, Amy Raymond, Liat T. Waysbort and others. She also created her own work, which was presented in the ITs festival in Amsterdam and on different theaters in Holland as part of the own work program of the academy. She participated in a location based project by Vloeistof collective, took part in the Ghost Note project by Vaclav Kunes and performed her own solo piece, recently presented in the Voorjaarsontwaken in Korzo, Szoloduo festival in Budapest and the Volle Maan festival in Tilburg. Recently finished a project with Manuela Raurich, Iszabela Szostak and Erisa Hirakawa in Urban Explorers Festival in Dordrecht. Efrat will take part in the Omi International Dance Residency in N.Y during the summer directed by Christopher K. Morgan.
